project 365, a picture a day
Sunday, January 3, 2010 at 12:37PM Courtney I am planning on making the best out of 2010 no matter what happens. No more looking at the past and getting upset over things that are said, I am ready to start fresh and have a new beginning.
One way for me to document my new begining is to get involved in Project 365. As I started to hear about Project 365 I thought this would be something that one day I would look back on and really be happy to participate in! Basically all you have to do is take a picture everyday, document your life and blog about it. So I decided why not, I can do this! I take food pictures, Avery pictures and soon new baby pictures, so I should be able to add a couple more random shots to make a great year of pics!
So not only will I document this on the blog, another way for me to keep up with Project 365 is getting a Project Life Book! I love to scrapbook but I just don't have the time to do what I would like. Project Life is a great way for me to add some pictures, journal for the week and document our life. I am bummed I am starting this now but excited to do it each year going forward. Right now you can't order a Project Life Book because they are moving inventory to Amazon but soon enough I will be able to get started! I can't wait to order it as soon as they start selling it!
For Christmas B bought me a new point and shoot camera which should help a lot with this project! I have my Nikon D50, which I adore, and my iPhone but both didn't work to well for out and about activities. I don't always think to grab the SLR when I am leaving and the iPhone, well the pictures pretty much suck, so the point and shoot should be great!
I had a previous point and shoot but the lens on it broke. It took me forever to send it in to get fixed and a few days after sending it to Sony sent me a check for my purchase price! Apparently it was not able to be fixed and a replacement was not worth it to them!! I decided this time to go with a Canon (in the color blue of course, its my favorite!) and have been enjoy using it when I don't have the Nikon with me!
So my plan is to each week post a collage of my pictures for the week and to work on one page of my Project Life Book! Jessica at The Creative Mom is going to have a linky up each week on Tuesdays if you want to join in! I can't wait to see how this goes and look over the beautiful pictures I am sure I will cherish every year!

Cool stuff! I'm anxiously awaiting the arrival of my Project Life kit too! I have even remembered to take a photo of each day thus far ;-) Indeed, it's only three days, but I tend to get off track easily :-) Good Luck! Have Fun!!!
Oooo, I can't wait to hear more about this (and maybe even to see some pictures)! I think it's such a fantastic idea!
I'm doing the Project 365 too. Tried last year but we had so many deaths in the family last spring, we couldn't bring ourselves to do it. :-( We're on track so far for this year. :-) Have fun with it!
