Music Makes My Heart Happy

I love music, I love to dance and sing my little heart out. I have so many songs that remind me of things and people and favorite times.

Every time I see my husband play with the girls..... Daughter by London Wainwright III seems to play in my head.

The song that got me through the hard days after Ashlyn passed away.... Grace Like Rain (preferably sung by a friend of ours but Todd Anew will work when Jondy isn't around!)

When I want to stop working out, I sing Stronger by Kayne West in my head..or out loud if no one is close. yep i am that crazy person.

A song that makes me love my husband is Such Great Heights by Postal Service (the Iron and Wine edition), we are off on our own in so many ways.

My favorite night with two friends (who are so distant but still hold special places in my heart) singing music in the car as loud as our lungs would allow, it was literally "Hands Down" (by Dashboard Confessionals) the best night I can remember!

Every song by Jennifer Knapp helps me get back to a prospective on God when my mind starts to get upset, sad or confused.

This song makes me want to play the drums(which I have no idea how to play but I think I do when I listen to this)... Uprising by Muse. I sing like this when I feel oppressed by Brian..... he cant control me...just kidding I don't think that but seriously if he ever does.. I am so breaking out into this song...I will be victorious!

To this day, Big Willie Style...Angi, I think about her everytime Will Smith does anything...she is still in love with everything he does.

And the song that makes me smile and dance with my Avery......Paparazzi by Lady Gaga. She loves to sing this and dance her silly little dance..it makes my heart swell so much.

High School..oh high school. I just went to my 10 year reunion and when we talked to the DJ, I stupidly asked him if he knew what late 90s songs were...he graduated the same year as I did...moron moment..anyway this reminds me of late nights driving around doing nothing in my little sunfire (hey they were the it car than..or so I tell myself)...not a song from the late 90s but Cherish by Madonna. We were obsessed with The Immaculate Collection CD.. obsessed!

Every time I sing any Carrie Underwood, I  imagine I have her adorable hair and body...so I basically just listen to her music to "imagine" my pre-childern body...that will make its return soon enough...right?

Even if the songs remind me of memories that hurt me so much, the songs make me smile...even if I might be crying. I cry every time I hear P.Diddy..Diddy.Puff whatever his name is sing I'll Be Missing You, it rings so true to my feelings of Ashlyn...I think of the day every single day, when I will see you again, I smile at that thought. Everyday....

In the end, this is the soundtrack of my life....what about you. Sing your heart out, no matter what...it will make you smile!

I love music too:) I dance around and sing in the car at the top of my lungs or run my angry run to whatever it is I need to keep me going.

Funny how different our music tastes are though. haha! Everyone needs what they need.

Great playlist!! Those are great choice of songs!!

How can anyone NOT like Will Smith? Seriously, I can't name a bad thing he's done! Great song choices. I love Grace like Rain. Sharing music was a great idea, I had to copy!
